So you have recently purchased a whole new outfit for your child and cannot wait to put it on them. However, that might not be the best idea for your child and their health. New clothing contain a lot of harmful toxins and metals that can find their way into your child’s body and make them sick. So how do these toxins find their way from article of clothing to the inside of your child’s body? Here’s how.
The toxins in the clothing’s dyes and finishings are sprayed onto the pieces of clothing. These finishings and dyes contain many different types of toxins such as copper, zinc, dioxin and formaldehyde. These toxins and items are just sitting on the clothing and can easily come off.
The clothing items are then put on your child and all those dyes and toxins are in direct contact with the skin. The problem is that the human skin works almost like a sponge, it absorbs all types of things and since the toxins and metals are there it sucks it right into the body and makes it a part of the blood stream.
Once those toxins and metals are in the blood stream they are virtually impossible to get out. For the most part, small amounts of these toxins and metals will not harm your child and make them sick. However, sometimes these toxins and metals can float around the blood stream and accumulate near certain organs. The liver, kidneys, bones and heart all work like magnets for these toxins and metals and cause them to come near them. When these toxins and metals get close they can alter these organs functions and cause health problems.
Now that you know exactly how toxins get into the body from the clothing you will probably think twice about putting that brand new article of clothing onto your child without having washed it first.
